About Us

I have followed what is probably a common trajectory in my interest in wine. Soon after my first child was born I began to read about wine and receive the odd bottle as a gift. As I am both a do-it-yourselfer and a budding wine connoisseur, I began to think about building my own wine cellar.

What I quickly discovered was that it was much cheaper to imagine and research wine cellars and cabinets than to actually purchase them. So this site began almost as a notebook where I could store links and ideas about building my own cellar. Perhaps, at some point, it will make enough money to make that a reality!
